YOUR Space

Ah ha! Not surer why I said Ah ha! but I did. Let's talk about MySpace right now. I am sure you all have heard of it so I won't get into much detail. I just want to point out something that I found out today, a place called "YourSpace.com". I found out today and am already using one of their images. The Welcome image at the top is from YourSpace. I don't know how much bandwidth they have but thanks to them just the same. Now as you know, allot of sites don't like you leaching bandwidth so that image may disappear at some point. I will have to make my own but I think I am just too lazy. You should go to their site and check it out. As is MySpace, YourSpace is free. Click the link to the left.

Dynamic Drive is a fantastic resource for DHTML and Javascript codes, links and also for online tools. Dynamic Drive Tools is the latest addition to this site. Originally I was going to link to only the gradient maker tool but realized that there was more to offer from the tools section of their web site. Therefore I decided to give both the links to the home page and the tools page. You have to remember that I use these links and that is why they are in here, not for promotional purposes but more selfish reasons and I hope that you can also find this to be of use.

Animation
Library
|
How many animations did they say? 13,748 free animations?!?! Holy Smokes. It's not Animation Factory and if I were a spend-a-holic I would get a subscription to them, but the Animation Library is FREE and there are lots of 'em. It is faster and easier than creating your own anim's. Since Animation Factory rules I am going to replace this link soon, I haven't had much luck with it yet.
On the other hand, THIS SITE seems to have some better quality animations. They also have other types of graphics and clip for free as well. Now, I can't pronounce the name of the site and the spelling doesn't make any sense but you should take a look anyway.
On a personal note, I don't like to use other peoples work, but that's just me. It is helpful though to look around just for ideas and inspiration though.

If you haven't noticed, this site is slightly under construction. Go listen to some music and come back tomorrow. Better yet, email me some content.
Try this on for now.... Paint Shop Pro, in my word, it's the PC's version of Adobe Photoshop. Now correct me if I am wrong but when I first learned about graphic arts, Adobe was the only way to go and it had to done on a MAC, not a pc. For the most part that is still the standard and MAC will always remain dominant in Graphics. I don't know enough about Adobe to critique it so I will tell you that I am impressed with PSP. I am so impressed that I have been upgrading for the past 3 years. Now the latest version is Version 10, PSPX. Great program and when you get the boxed version instead of the download you get allot of extras. Recommended, you should try it for yourself since there is a 30 day trial. Try it here, visit Corel.

Well, I had an idea
|
This isn't a real company but it is something that I have thought about for a while. If you think of it, I know how to create, manage, and teach web design and graphics. (Well, I don't know about the teaching part) I also know some techies that can help with computer glitches, I know what servers to use to get your site up and running and even explain to you how to maintain it yourself. SO... I figured that I would create a business card and take it to the local pizza place and see if I can't drum up a job or two. It would be something to do considering I am always on this computer anyway.

I figure that since everyone knows about Tucows.com, Download.com, and many other places to get software, I figured I would plug Simtel. I stumbled across it one day and liked the layout so I bookmarked it. I have so much software on this computer that I don't have a great need to download anything really but I did use this once. Give it a chance and try it out next time you need to fulfill your software needs.

I came across some cool software for lazy people or automated people like me. It's called Workspace Macro Pro. Yes, that link will take you to Tucows.com download for the software. It runs 40 times before you have to buy it. I might actually buy it since I think it's great. What it does is copies all your keyboard moments and mouse movements, opens programs and does what ever you do. It records everything and creates a shortcut to that process so all you have to do is open one file and you can run just about anything that you want. It even has a speed variation so if your computer is slow you can wait and let it catch up or even speed up the process as well. The actual site is here. Take a look and try it out. If you do, let me know what you think.

Some people don't like Microsoft, I think that is safe to say. I have no real grudge against them so here I am giving them a plug. MSDN seems to be a helpful library for web development. Very simple and easy. So easy I can do it. I don't actually swear by this site but I do find that it has some information that may be useful.

Revo Un-Installer is a freeware innovative un-install utility much faster than Windows Add/Remove applet. With its advanced and fast algorithm, Revo Un-Installer scans before and after you un-install an application. After the program's regular un-installer runs, you can remove additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that are usually left over on your computer. Even if you have a broken installation, Revo Un-installer scans for an application's data on your hard disk drives and in the Windows registry and shows all found files, folders and registry items so you can delete them. Version 1.5 added saving of sorting column and type (ascending, descending), improved listing of Windows Installer (MSI) applications. Version 1.6 features enhanced scanning speed and user interface improvements.
